💛things I've been LOVING lately💛

Image
Hey lovies! How has your day been going? (Quick sidenote)  I want you to stop reading this for a sec and go look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself how pretty you are. How much you love the way you look and the way you act. Name what you love the most about yourself. Tell yourself how bomb you are today! Because you are. Remember that today.  Anyway, back to the post! Here is a list of all the things that I have just been depending on these last couple of weeks. Like I cannot imagine my life without these 10 and some things. I love every one of these things for different reasons that all come together to be such a game-changer and life hack.  I highly highly highly recommend EVERYTHING here!! Sorry if recent content is kind of lists and about shopping but I have a ton of new ideas and posts that are on their way, so look out for them!! 1. Happy Hour with Gretchen Geraghty Podcast - omg this has to be my most recommended thing on this list because it is a life-cha...

♥♥spontaneous deep talk about living life♥♥

Hi everyone what is up it is your girl, back for another post! Todays is going to be kind of different from most of my posts because it's just basically a rant but idk I think you'll like it! It's to motivate you and just go for it! Keep in mind that I'm writing this at like midnight so it's night time Susie talking which is a little loopy loll! Without farther ado, let's just jump right in! So I was just scrolling on Pinterest and I came across a TikTok that was talking about how crazy death is. Like it really is! Everything you’ve ever known ever is just wiped away and you don’t really know what happens next. I am Catholic so I believe in heaven, but no one really has a clear vision of what that means. But like the bigger picture is that you need to go do you everything you want to do before your time is up. You only get this body so treat it well, you only get to know these people so treat them well and get rid of the toxic ones, you only get one time being i...

☼my morning routine☼

Image
Good morning or just hii!!  I was just thinking about what my ideal morning routine was and making a list of all the goals I have to reach that routine. However, as I am sitting here with a Starbucks in one hand, my computer in the other, and my head scrambled, I realized that I won't ever have that "ideal" morning routine! I can only work up to what works for me, not what works for anyone else. For example, I wanted to not use my phone for an hour when I first wake up, I wanted to meditate, I wanted to have a skincare routine, but just those things, it didn't work for me. If I do too much skincare I will break out, I like to check my phone because during quarantine that's the only way I can really stay with other people, and meditation makes me sleepy so doing it first thing in the morning, isn't the best plan. I wanted to wake up at 5 a.m., but I like to go to bed pretty late! And I know the things that are stopping me from these goals are probably things I ...

✰⋆chit chat time: school, quarantine, birthday plans⋆✰

Image
Hi everyone! So this blog post is just going to be a little chit chat with me!  I am excited to do this cuz I realize that you guys don't really know that much about me.  So it's kind of going to be a podcast kind of deal happening.  So let's get started! I'm writing this on Wednesday, August 19th; 3 days till my birthday!  yay! I'm going to be spending my actual birthday with my mom and my family, the day before my birthday I'm going to be going out for dinner with my best friends!  It's only going to be the three of us going out to dinner because we had to keep it small because of the COVID-19 thing, but still, I think it'll be super fun!  2 days before my birthday I'm going to be getting my hair colored so I am actually ecstatic about that!  My hair right now is a couple of inches below my shoulders, a light brown with old highlights that are grown out,  and with the edges a little uneven because this was a quarantine cut (which means my mom di...

👟how to easily make shoes new using things you have👟

Image
Hey everyone and welcome to today's post! How are we feeling today, really? Well, I know that when my crusty old shoes are cleaned I feel so much better so let's clean them today! This method works on all shoes with a shiny exterior like leather or whatever. This doesn't work on cotton or anything made with fabric type material. This works for Adidas, air forces, the bottom outer rim of vans or converse, and anything else like that! So let's get cleaning! WHAT WILL YOU NEED: baking soda water dawn soap a paper towel toothbrush or sponge or anything with bristles or bumpiness ( HERE'S the one I use) a large towel to put below your shoes while your cleaning  INSTRUCTIONS: In a very small bowl, we will mix up the baking soda, dawn, and water. So my measurements aren't very exact because you can't really go wrong with making this lol. But I do 1 or 2 splashes of water, half a tbsp of dawn soap, and like 2 tbsp of baking soda. This is the correct amount for one ...

🛍️my WISHLIST🛍️

Image
Hey, y'all! My birthday is comin' up and I was just thinking about what I want for it! But really it's not like what I want for my birthday because it's literally a couple days before. Also, my family and friends' gifts are always so great and creative so like this isn't what I WANT it's just like what I have as a wishlist that I probably will buy myself at some point. I will also be doing a birthday haul post of what I DO get so keep your eyes open for that! A lot of these things I have already put into a cart but never intended to buy lol! I am like scared of buying stuff for myself so I just put things in carts. So basically here are my carts!! I separated these by the business and linked everything! OASISJOY - this is a site for mainly oversized t-shirts but I like a variety of things from there. I have started really liking oversized t's and little shorts this summer so this is right up my alley!!  This a super cute oversized San Fransisco t-shirt (...

✁3 trendy and easy DIYs✁

Image
Hii everyone! Today I am doing to be teaching you my favorite DIYs such as beachy bead braids, Redbubble quality stickers of anything you want, and chunky, cozy blankets! These are all me approved and I have made them all MULTIPLE times and I love them. The supplies you need I'll link, but there aren't very many you need. So without farther ado, let's DIY!! 1. Beachy Hair Bead Braid This is the tik tok trend that has been going around that I started doing and found the easiest way. It looks adorable and adds a summery vibe☀  All you need is basically just beads. I know that people want to use small beads, but honey, those make the process so much longer and harder and tedious. Don't do it! It looks good with bigger beads!! I just had craft store beads at my house that I used so idk where you specifically can get beads. I have had lavender, light green, teal, and white bead sets (not at the same time lol) and you only need 5 beads per braid so for me I need 15 beads in ...

✌my personal goals✌

Image
Hey lovies! I made a list of things that I want to improve on and I thought that I'd share it with you! I want you to get inspired by these goals and remember that goals are self-improvement and motivation. Especially in quarantine feeling motivated and inspired is important to hold onto.  Some of these are long term and some of these are short term. They all vary but bring me clarity of what I want to do with myself and focus on.  1. Start a super successful business of my own- kinda vague ik but I do want to be a business owner of some kind 2. Get better at yoga- the app Yoga has really helped me I love it so much it is simple to use 3. Get more flexible 4. Go to bed earlier- my sleep schedule is like 12- 7:30 and then on weekends 12-11 hahahahhah 5. Stop snacking- eating, when you are hungry, is good, but just snacking when you really need a full meal isn't 6. Read more  7. Go on more walks 8. Stop binging Netflix and youtube- find better ways to relax 9. Drink a ton m...

❁10 covid safe ways to hang out with friends❁

Image
Hey girlieeee! SO lately I have been missing my friends so much but COVID 19 is still a very real thing and should be taken seriously. This makes it hard to hang out with them because, well, there isn't much to do and all my mom's ideas are just to talk on their porch.. So I decided to make a teen and parent-approved hang out idealist. For me, safe is outdoors and without touching anything. Let's get started! 1. Outdoor movie- I did this with my whole friend group and it was super easy. We used a projector for the movie, bought candy, and I put the candy in cute little separate bags. They all brought their own blankets and things.  2. Picnics- You just bring a blanket and some food and drinks and find a sunny day to picnic at a park or something 3. Shopping sprees- Yes, that is indoors, but everyone is wearing a mask and sanitizing everything. My favorite place for this is Target. 4. Netflix Party- It's a Chrome extension where everyone can watch a Netflix show together...

🕮3 of my FAV books with reviews and recaps🕮

Image
Hi! What's up y'all? Today I will be sharing my top books. As a dyslexic who just HATES reading, I have found a couple gems in the rough that I have absolutely loved and 10000000% recommend. Like seriously, your girl loves these which is SO RARE. Let's get onto the list!! Every Soul A Star Okey, I got sucked into the book for days. I zoomed through it and I'm telling y'all IM NOT THAT KIND OF PERSON but for some reason I just loved it.  It is the story of 3 different people that all end up in the same place. They are all modern and have such different points of view. One is an aspiring model, one is a pudgy, insecure, socially challenged boy, and one is a girl that lives in the middle of nowhere that is pretty much away from the rest of the world socially, physically, and mentally. They all meet and in one way or another find each other and each grows themselves and learns so much when presented with their polar opposites. A great book that is super modern and perfe...

☼21 Questions all about meeee- a q&a special☼

Image
Hi! So, I kinda hate writing introduction posts to myself, but I thought that a Q&A would be a more unconventional and fun way to basically, tell y'all a little bit about me!! I posted a question on my Pinterest (haha parents won't let me have any other socials to ask on) on some Q&A questions they had for me, so I'll use some of those and also just other ones I want to include.. SO let's gooo Don't judge me cuz these are kinda basic white girl questions: Q- What star sign are you? A- I am a Leo and legit everyone says that I am like exactly like the description of a Leo which I mean I guess that's accurate haha Q- Where are you from? A- I am from Portland Oregon (where To All The Boys was based in #team peter) Q-What's your f avorite color? A- Okay, I know this isn't an exact color but I'm really into all pastel colors especially pastel blue, green, and purple. Q- H ow many siblings do you have? A- I have 3 siblings; 1 sister and 2 brothers....

☾my NIGHTLY routine☾

Image
Hiii what's up?? Today I'll be going over my nighttime routine including skincare, stretching, food, vitamins, the all of it. SOOO let's get into it! First around 9-10 PM I start my absolute favorite trashy reality tv show Married At First Sight  with my mom. Just btw season 10 is the season I'm on right now and it is so freaking GOOD! Anyway, then I make my tea with English Breakfast Tea and almond milk. I absolutely love tea. Like it's high key an addiction.  Then I get out a yoga mat and do my foot strengthing exercises and stretches. The set up is on your back with legs bent. So, first I do 8 ankle circles out on the right foot then 8 ankle circles in on the right. Then 4 out, then 4 in, 2 out, 2 in, 1 out, 1 in, 1 out, 1 in. Then the same thing on the left. This really opens up my ankles and gets them warm. Even if you aren't a dancer or do ballet this is a great thing to do. Next, straighten your right leg first and flex the foot and carry it an inch off ...

I drank a GALLON of water a day for a WEEK **help meee**

Image
So, I just saw a really good YouTube video about this woman who drinks 1 gallon of water for a week and it really inspired me. I've been reading about the benefits of drinking water for a while and everyone's like, "DRINK WATER" and I'm like "Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh mAYbE?!?!" But I want to accept the challenge!! My plan is to drink 1 gallon of water every day. I will be logging my day to day experiences on it and also give little tips I found helpful. For example, I don't really like flat old water, so I will be giving some suggestions on how to make the water more appetizing such as infusing the water (I will include those recipes) and using sparkling, or flavored water.  For some of you who don't know all of the advantages of drinking water, here are some: Clear Skin Much More Energy Fewer Headaches Stops Bloating (which is weird because usually, I feel bloated after drinking water. Especially before exercising and ballet soooo) Helps you lose weight...
